"Beauty confronts us with the requirement that we place ourselves among...the redeemers, the leaders in the protection of life. Once you have seen the bush on fire, you are not going to get out of the assignment unless you close your eyes to the beauty.... [You] either have to close your eyes or go back to Egypt and set the people free." - Rev. Dr. Rebecca Parker, "Rising to the Challenge of Our Times"

My 'Word of the Day' email today was: "Genius!" Lotta that going around.

I'm sad to see that the scare tactics of the Yes folks are working. The particular argument is that this decision will somehow impact education. It's not true! Tell all your friends: It's not true!

If it's just about believing what you see on TV, then make sure to see this commercial: https://secure.ga4.org/01/unfair?qp_source=hometext

Let's not be manipulated by fear-tactics. We're smarter than that.

I love afterellen.com; I saw these a few days ago, and they are definitely worth posting. I keep saying "but its unconstitutional!" I guess I'm not the only one.

I also echo the previous poster. What is up with those other commercials? I thought it was illegal to run advertising that is full of lies. (It is, from what I recall from school, but they've managed some way to get around it, I guess.)
